I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Don. He is a great guy. He took pride in taking care of me, and fixing me a wonderful Blueberry/Mango Smoothie. Not only was it awesome, but he made me feel right at home. He also fixed my son a Hot Chocolate, and he said it was really good. I continued to watch him interact with his other customers, and I loved the way he took care of all of them. Such a gentleman! I will be back again. Thanks Don! Appreciate you!

I ordered a chocolate croissant which I assumed like a regular Starbucks one. But noooo, it was one of the best chocolate croissants I have ever had. The crispy croissant filled with Nutella with bananas on the side and some creams was just amazing! Not to mention their frappe was awesome. Will definitely come back. :).

Excellent spot to be! The decor is cozy and immediately makes you feel welcome. Tried Don's favorite, a vanilla and passionfruit latte (decaf due to caffeine sensitivity), and it compliments the espresso very nicely, not too strong on the fruity/floral flavor. Also had a Turkey Havarti panini melt and it was absolutely lovely. Creamy and hot with salsa to have with it, giving another layer of flavor. Overall, a very nice place to relax before hopping on the road back home. Hope to visit again!

Love this local spot for so many reasons. They’ve got the best chai latte I’ve had in a while and a great pistachio latte too. Wide range of food and drink options and places to sit and relax. Friendly service with lots of good vibes in the space. Also an event space if you’re brewing up any gatherings. _

Dontavious and his associate were warm and welcoming! He went out of his way to make a croissant and cheese sandwich for me that wasn’t on the menu —he has a great mission statement and has created a lovely atmosphere! 10/10 recommend

Was looking for a nice place to get some computer work done a a cold drink. Found the Equal Minded Cafe. Plenty of street parking was available. The barista greeted us in warmly right when we arrived. The place was moderately busy but still had plenty of room and the atmosphere was comfortable and cool. The Barista took our order and recommended the Iced Chai Latte, we got to talking and he told me he was also the owner, I took his advice. I really enjoyed my drink and the vibe the Iced Chai was the way to go very delicious:) the art and music was calming and beautiful. I will definitely return and recommend everyone come and try an Iced Chai Tea.

The HH Bacon Wrap was delicious! It's a good size and came with chips. I also ordered a drip coffee and the man made me a fresh pot. Cool atmosphere for work, study, games, or chill. Nice to have fun/different cafe options in KC.
